Aim of the workshop was to create awareness about vulnerability assessment and penetration testing methods among senior level IT managers. Workshop on “Malware Threats & Countermeasures” on 15 July, 2005 A one day workshop on “Malware Threats & Countermeasures” was held on July 15, 2005. Aim of the workshop was to create awareness about various Malware threats and countermeasures among Network Administrators of various organizations. Cyber Security Seminar, 21-22 April, 2005 A two-day “Cyber Security Seminar” has been organized by the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) under the auspices of the Indo-US Cyber Security Forum. Speakers at the seminar included cyber security experts from the US-CERT, CERT/CC, CERT-In and those from the US and Indian industries. The seminar focused on the practices and challenges of cyber security; emerging threats and trends in cyberspace and technological challenges that are posed by the rising threats in cyberspace. Over 150 delegates from public and private sector organisations participated in the seminar. Workshop on “Malicious Code Trends and Countermeasures” on 29 March, 2005 A one day workshop on “Malicious Code Trends and Countermeasures ” was held on March 29, 2004. Security professionals from Government, Public and Private sector have participated in the workshop. CERT-In - Microsoft Security Seminar for Technical Decision-makers in Government and Industry on 2nd March 2005 A one day workshop on “Information Security for Technical Decision-makers in Government and Industry” was held on March 2, 2004. Security professionals from Government, Public and Private sector have participated in the workshop. Workshop on “Setting up of CSIRTs” on 28 January, 2005 A one day workshop on “Setting up of CSIRTs” was held on 28 January, 2005. The purpose of the workshop was to impart knowledge and awareness about the reqiurement of CSIRTs in various organisations and on the setting up of CSIRTs to cater to their respective needs. The topic covered included Incident ResponseManagement & Procedures and Case studies of Actual Incident Handling etc. Workshop on “Information Security for Defence Organisations” on December 1-2, 2004 A two day workshop on “Information Security for Defence Organisation” was held Dec. 1-2, 2004.The workshop was held exclusively for the Officers of various Defence organisations and included topics such as Web Security, Database Security,Security Policy etc. Workshop for Inter-Ministry Cyber Security Officer’s of NSCS on November 29, 2004 A one day Security Workshop was conducted specifically for Cyber Sectoral Officers of National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS) on Nov.29, 2004.The topics covered included overview of Threats & vulnerabilities, Incident Response capability, Perimeter Security etc. Workshop on “Information Security Policies and Procedures” on 3rd September, 2004 A one day workshop on Information Security Policies and Procedures was held on 3rd September, 2004. The aim of the workshop was to create security awareness among the system administrators on how to secure Linux server in an enterprise/organisation. Workshop on “Windows Server Security” on 16th April, 2004 A one day workshop on Windows Server Security was held on 16th April 2004. The aim of the workshop was to create security awareness among the system administrators on how to secure windows server in an enterprise/organisation. Workshop on “Network Perimeter Defense"- 27th February, 2004 A one day workshop on Network Perimeter Defense was held on 27th February 2004. The aim of the workshop was to create awareness among the system administrators on role of network perimeter security in an enterprise network.
