ICTs offer tremendous potential waiting to be tapped and exploited for the benefit of one and all. And eNRICH, being an ICT based tool to empower the rural poor is no exception. Opportunities exist to enhance the potential of eNRICH to serve the poor.
However, true challenge lies in identifying the most suitable, cost effective technologies that address the local needs and challenges of the rural masses. One such area where it is proposed to research is the way people interact with eNRICH.
eNRICH interface could be further enhanced by multimodal inputs and multimedia output with assisted technologies and adaptive strategies which could empower phyhsically challenged and illiterate people. The interface could be improved to such an extent that it is attentive enough to capture the gesture/behavior of the visiting user, model it up, infer the implied need and offer help or required information proactively thereby strengthening over all service delivery model.
