eNRICH Community Software Solution Framework has been customized for Community Information Centre (CIC) Project, operational in 487 locations (Blocks), spread across five districts in 8 provinces in the North Eastern Region of India. Apart from the existing features, the eNRICH-CIC implementation of the framework introduces the concept of multiple managers, each representing his own area (Administrative Unit: State, District, Block and Community) and Domain (Health, Agriculture, Education etc.).
This model, through various managers, is expected to promote a collaborative approach for content generation and updation on the website of the community(ies). The CIC Site manager operating at Block Community site will ensure that the content is as per local specificities. On the end-user side, the software solution provides more personalized experience to the registered users. The Communication facilities have also been enhanced to facilitate inter & intra community communication, manager-to-manager and manager-to-user communication.
eNRICH-CIC software solution in Phase I was tested in the States of Assam [2 districts –Barpeta and LakhimPur (21 Block Communities)], Sikkim (East Sikkim- 12 Block Communities) and Tripura [West and South Tripura Districts (18 Block Communities)], amounting to a total of 51 test locations.
Phase II testing of the eNRICH-CIC software solution was carried out in the States of Arunachal Pradesh[2 districts - Tawang and Lohit (8 Block Communities)],Meghalaya[2-districts- Jaintia Hills and Ri Bhoi(6 Block Communities)] and Nagaland[2 districts - Phek and Mokokchung (8 Block Communities)], amounting to 22 test Locations.
