This center covers the states of Gujarat , Rajasthan, Maharashtra and union territory of Dadra Nagar Haveli. The following River valley projects and Non River valley Projects are coming under this regional center. Apart from this, Regional Center also carries out Non Rvp survey projects,LDM surveys and various soil survey projects also.

Watershed management programme has been given a tremendous thrust in the 10th Five Year Plan to treat the degraded lands in the country with a view to enhance agriculture production and to ensure eco-development. Soil and land information is thus essential for scientific planning and implementation of watershed development programmes at micro level. All India Soil and Land Use Survey (AISLUS), an apex organization in the country is dedicated in providing scientific soil and land resource database to the user departments since 1958.
